Tom Weidner
Trombone and Vocals
Tom holds degrees in music from Bucks County Community College and West Chester University. He is a trombonist with the Allentown based Royalaires Big Band and the Bethlehem based Dave Neith Orchestra. Tom is a founding member the Faculty Brass and the Galena Brass. He also enjoys an active freelancing career in the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia regions.
Chris Gerhart
Trumpet
Chris holds a Bachelor's of Music from Temple University and a Master’s in Music Education from Boston University. Chris is currently a middle school band director in the Bristol Township School District. He has studied trumpet with Mr. Don McComas, retired assistant principal trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Chris also performs throughout the area as a freelance musician and can frequently be heard with the Philly German Brass.
Matt Nieznay
Trumpet
Matt holds a B.A. in Music from Kutztown University. Matt has studied trumpet with renowned teacher Kevin Kjos. Matt has performed with the Municipal Band of Allentown, Mirandola Fanfare Trumpets, and the Pottstown Symphony. Matt teaches trumpet privately and is a manager at Zeswitz Music in Reading, PA.
Susan Halteman
Trumpet
Sue holds a Bachelor's of Music from Penn State University and a Master's from Texas Tech University. Susan has studied with Frank Kaderabek, retired Principal Trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Susan maintains an extensive performance schedule with the Quakertown Band as well as freelancing and teaching private lessons in the area.
Mark Benson
Tuba
Mark holds a Bachelor's degree from Central Michagan University and both his Master's and Doctorate in Theory and Composition from Michigan State University. Mark is an in-demand freelance musician speciallizing in all low brass instruments. Additionally, Mark is the founder and propritor of MB Pianos.
Rich Groller
Percussion
Rich holds a Bachelor's of Music from the Philadelphia Music Academy. Rich has performed with numerous ensembles over his 50 year carreer including touring with the circus and countless musical theater productions. Rich is a proud 53 year member of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra and a retired Allentown School District educator
